Forcepoint NGFW is building momentum in the market place. We have significantly grown the business with our unique solution that combines high efficiency with always-on resilience, and delivers real security. Today, this strategy has paid off in a big way with three of the biggest independent research firms in the industry -- verifying the significance of our approach and our product.
Unlike our competitors who focus on what chips they should be building to solve yesterday’s problems, we focus on what software we should create to solve today’s and tomorrow’s. In taking a software approach to firewall design, we enable customers to have a uniform set of capabilities that run in many places all managed from a single pane of glass. Rather than layering manageability on top, we built it into every element of the firewall. Today, as organizations are spreading out to more locations than ever, and as applications move to virtualized data centers and cloud environments, the advantages of centrally managed software-based solutions are greater than ever. Our approach has been proven out, because now our customers have high performance, uniform capabilities regardless whether the solution is deployed physically in branches, virtually in data centers or public clouds.
So what does this mean to you? We’re different. Two of the key independent firms that enterprises and government agencies look to for recommendations have said that we should be on their network security shortlists. We’re now the Top Visionary in Gartner’s NGFW Magic Quadrant. And we achieved the #1 security score in NSS Labs’ latest NGFW test – with great Total Cost of Ownership to boot. Hard-won movement, up and to the right, in both the Gartner MQ and the NSS Labs benchmark reflects the kind of momentum we’re building.
Don’t get me wrong, this kind of recognition is highly satisfying, but at the end of the day we measure ourselves not on industry analyst acclaim, but on the effectiveness of our product, and especially on what our customers tell us they need. Today, we can point to the real data and customer information contained in these independent reports. IDC, talked to our customers and found that when they switched to FP NGFW they reduced the IT staff burden by 53%, reduced their maintenance downtime by 73%, and most importantly, the reduced the number of cyber attacks by 86%. We’re making a real difference for organizations. That’s what gets us out of bed in the morning.
To coin a phrase from my Texas neighbors, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. This team is laser focused on providing our customers with the best-in-class network security that connects and protects users and data throughout their enterprise network. As we look to the future we’ll be focusing on protecting users and data at the point they come together – in other words, what we call the Human Point. Stay tuned!
